Who Should Get What

Uber One if: You use both Uber Eats AND Uber rides. The ride credits (6%) add value no other pass offers. Best for urban commuters who also order delivery. Students get it for $4.99/mo. Amex Platinum holders effectively get it free.

DoorDash DashPass if: DoorDash is your primary delivery app. DashPass has the widest restaurant selection in most US markets. The $12 minimum is easy to hit on any restaurant order.

Instacart+ if: You order groceries for delivery weekly. The $35 minimum is higher, but grocery orders naturally exceed it. Instacart+ saves the most per order on groceries specifically, since delivery fees on grocery orders are typically $5-8.

None of them if: You order delivery fewer than 3 times per month. At that frequency, the membership costs more than the fees you'd save.

The Hidden Math

The delivery fee is the headline, but the service fee reduction is where the real savings are. All three passes reduce (but don't eliminate) service fees, which can be $3-6 per order. Over 4 monthly orders, that's $12-24 in service fee savings on top of the delivery fee savings.

True monthly savings on 4 orders: ~$20-30 across all three passes. The $9.99 membership pays for itself by the 3rd order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which delivery pass is cheapest?
All three are $9.99/mo. Uber One also offers an annual plan at $96/yr ($8/mo) and a student plan at $4.99/mo. DoorDash and Instacart offer annual plans at $96/yr.
Can I have more than one delivery pass?
You can, but you probably only need one. Pick the service you order from most frequently. If you split orders across apps, one pass with the highest-volume service saves the most.
Which delivery pass covers groceries?
Instacart+ is grocery-focused. Uber One covers both restaurant delivery and grocery (via Uber Eats grocery partners). DoorDash DashPass covers restaurants, convenience stores, and some grocery delivery.
